| The Chempaq XBC (eXpress Blood Counter) is a new diagnostic system for counting blood cells and for quantifying hemoglobin. It offers a five-parameter test for White Blood Cells (Total Leucocytes), three part differentials (Lymphocytes, Monocytes and Granulocytes) and Hemoglobin, or alternatively a 6-parameter test for Red Blood cells (Total RBC) including Hemoglobin, Hematocrit, average cell volume (MCV), average Hb-content (MCH) and average Hb-concentration (MCHC) of erythrocytes.
The tests comprise a small disposable cassette: the PAQ (Particle Analyzer and Quantifier), and a compact desktop Reader. The capillary blood sample (20 µL) has to be collected directly in the PAQ, which is then placed into the Reader. After 3 min, the result will be displayed (optionally with automatically made printout).
The Chempaq XBC is factory calibrated and easy to operate also by un-trained users. A quality control is performed electronically, securing fast and reliable results at any time. At all, the costs per device and tests are very competitive compared to similar CBC desktop analyzers: The best-fitting hematology solution for GPs and small labs, now available.
